The Associated press has named Jonathan Fahey, global markets editor, as their next global health editor. Fahey, who also previously worked as the AP’s national energy reporter, will lead a reporting team covering a range of topics including: medicine, public health, the health care business and consumer health.
Marjorie Miller, AP’s vice president of global news and enterprise, said of Fahey when making the announcement, “We are fortunate to have such a talented editor as Jon to lead this team. He is enthusiastic, driven and a creative thinker. He enjoys experimenting with new forms of story-telling for all platforms.”
Prior to AP, Fahey was a reporter and associate editor of Forbes for ten years, where he wrote a column on science and covered energy and technology issues. He is a Knight Science Journalism fellow at MIT and is a graduate of Connecticut College.
