Ken Vogel, author and investigative reporter, is heading to the New York Times effective June 26. He will join the Washington bureau of the Times staff and cover conflict of interest issues, lobbying, and money in politics. Vogel spent a decade at POLITICO, joining the outlet as one of the original reporters before its launch in 2007.
These coverage areas are nothing new for Vogel who has covered politics and government for most of his career. In addition, Vogel is the author of Big Money: 2.5 Billion Dollars, One Suspicious Vehicle, and a Pimp—on the Trail of the Ultra-Rich Hijacking American Politics in which, through his own experiences as an investigative reporter, Vogel exposes the way that money controls the political landscape today.
Vogel was welcomed by his new colleagues and praised by his fellow POLITICO writers on Twitter.
