POLITICO continues to bolster their staff with new hires in preparation for covering the incoming presidential administration, adding Tim Alberta to the POLITICO Magazine team next month as a national political reporter. Alberta currently serves as the chief political correspondent for National Review. Prior to joining the National Review, Alberta served as a political correspondent and editor of National Journal’s The Hotline – and served as a web producer for POLITICO between 2009-2010.
POLITICO editor Carrie Budoff Brown, editor in chief John Harris and executive editor Paul Volpe shared news of Alberta’s hire in an email to the staff saying, “Over the last few years, Tim has done standout work on Republicans and their internal debates, writing with a rigor and sophistication that comes from relentless reporting, deep sourcing and a key sense of where the story is heading.”
