With 99 days left until Election Day, veteran politics reporter Michael C. Bender announced that he is headed for The Wall Street Journal, leaving his current post at Bloomberg Politics. Bender joins the Journal‘s D.C. bureau as a U.S. politics reporter, just in time for the final stretch of the 2016 campaign season.
Bender’s move to The Wall Street Journal marks the latest step in his journey covering all levels of government. He began as a local politics reporter in Ohio and Colorado before reporting on Florida state politics for The Palm Beach Post, Tampa Bay Times and The Miami Herald. Bender joined Bloomberg Politics in 2012 covering American politics.
