After graduating college, she joined Seven Letter through the fall 2022 fellowship program where she participated in meetings and strengthened her strategic communications skills through social media posts, op-eds, and blogposts. She joined the company as a full-time content specialist in January 2023.

Previously, Cate worked as an intern on Capitol Hill for Congresswoman Debbie Dingell (D-MI). As an intern she summarized priority news coverage regarding the Congresswoman and key issues within her district, drafted correspondence on behalf of the Congresswoman to resolve constituent policy concerns, and compiled “at a glance” briefing papers, with key socioeconomic data and profiles of local community leaders and issues. While in school, Cate also participated in outreach efforts on the University of Michigan Campus for the election of President Joe Biden during the 2020 election cycle.

Cate graduated from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor in the spring of 2022, where she received a bachelor’s degree in Communications and Media, and a minor in Political Science. She was born and raised in the DC area, where she currently lives.
