Dave Knaus is a veteran strategic communications and public policy professional with nearly a decade of political and corporate experience, specializing in writing and message development, public affairs and crisis communications.
At Seven Letter, Dave develops impactful messages and winning strategies that cut through the noise and advance the agendas of a diverse group of clients. Amid tough policy fights and reputational challenges, he helps clients tell compelling stories and make powerful arguments for change.
Prior to joining Seven Letter, Dave was a senior campaign aide to Illinois Governor Bruce Rauner. He previously worked at Luntz Global, where he counseled Fortune 100 companies, leading political organizations, prominent trade associations and non-profits. He has advised numerous political candidates and issue advocacy campaigns, written speeches for elected officials and corporate executives and conducted in-depth consumer and public opinion research both in the U.S. and abroad.
Dave graduated from Denison University in Granville, Ohio where he was a member of the Richard G. Lugar Program in Politics and Public Service. Outside of Seven Letter, he is an avid outdoorsman and a baseball fanatic.
