Sabrina Singh is a veteran strategist with an expertise in national security and defense-related issues.
With 15 years of experience advising national leaders on crisis communications, strategic messaging, and policy issues, Sabrina has counseled senior leaders at all levels of government - from the Pentagon to state government to the White House - including Members of the U.S. House and Senate, Governors, the Vice President of the United States and, most recently, the Secretary of Defense.
In Sabrina's most recent role as deputy press secretary at the Department of Defense, she was one of the primary spokespeople for the Pentagon, regularly briefing reporters from around the world on critical world events from the podium. Additionally, she served as an advisor to Secretary Lloyd Austin and frequently traveled with the Secretary overseas, including to Ukraine, Japan, the Philippines and Israel. She was one the Department’s most outward facing voices on the Pentagon’s efforts to surge security assistance to Ukraine and support to Israel following the October 7th attack often appearing on local and national outlets.
Sabrina previously served as deputy press secretary for Vice President Kamala Harris and traveled with her throughout the country and on foreign trips. In the Vice President’s office, she worked on a number of initiatives, including the COVID-19 vaccine safety campaign, expanding maternal health care access, addressing migration from the Northern Triangle and reducing gun violence.
Before joining the Biden-Harris campaign as Harris’ primary spokesperson, Sabrina led the strategic communications strategy during veepstakes, in which Harris was nominated as Joe Biden’s running mate.
During the 2020 cycle, Sabrina served in senior spokesperson roles for Mike Bloomberg’s presidential campaign, Cory Booker’s presidential campaign and previously served in various communications roles for Democratic committees, Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign and Members of Congress.
Sabrina is a political commentator for CNN and also a professor at the University of Southern California, where she is also an alum. She lives in Washington, D.C.
