Sofia Novoa is a public relations professional within the communications practice, in which she provides client support through media relations, messaging and branding, and social media.
Sofia served as an Account Coordinator at O’Neill and Associates which has since merged with Seven Letter to create Seven Letter and OA. Before becoming an Account Coordinator, she was a part of the O’Neill and Associates internship program, where she assisted the Public Relations team with the development of strategies for a variety of clients. During her time as an intern, she drafted and distributed press releases and media advisories, created media lists, and conducted research.
Prior to joining O’Neill and Associates, Sofia gained communication experience at Boston University’s PRLab, the longest-running student-led PR agency in the country. During her time at PRLab, she took on various roles while servicing different clients across several fields, including food and beverage, nonprofit, tech, academia, and consumer; most recently, she served as the account director for five account teams and as the social media director for PRLab.
Sofia also served as a communications intern at the Food and Beverage Awards in London, where she conducted daily research on food and beverage marketing news, wrote articles, and drafted features on food and beverage marketing companies and agencies.
Although originally from Mexico, Sofia grew up in Florida, Brazil, and Costa Rica. She moved to Massachusetts to attend Boston University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Communication and Public Relations. Sofia likes to cook and bake, and can be found doing so in her free time.
