With Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi poised to wield the House Speaker’s gavel next year, Axios talked to Blue Engine founding partner Erik Smith about what will mean for the political landscape – particularly following this week’s Trump-Pelosi-Schumer Oval Office showdown. Erik tells Axios’ Mike Allen, “Speaker Pelosi’s sole job in 2019 will be to serve Trump to the 2020 nominee on a platter … She won’t be bullied or outmaneuvered.”
