Firm Adds at All Levels, Including a Seasoned Crisis Communicator

Washington, DC – Today, Seven Letter, a leading Washington, DC-based, strategic communications and public affairs firm, announced the addition of Morgan Dye, Colleen Charles and Madison Bentil to its growing team, a sign of the firm’s stability even at a time of great uncertainty. Dye comes to the firm as a Senior Director with more than a decade of experience in strategic and crisis communications, most recently at Reingold, Inc. Charles, who previously worked for the Iowa Democratic Party’s Coordinated Campaign and was a fellow at Seven Letter, is the firm’s new Manager of Operations. Bentil will serve as a Content Specialist and most recently worked at Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance.

“This is a challenging time for our country and we’re proud that our firm is both growing and able to provide reliable, stable counsel to our clients as they navigate an uncertain landscape,” said Seven Letter founding partner Allison Fastow. “Morgan is a proven crisis communicator, Madison brings fresh creative perspective and Colleen adds a skillful approach to operations that will help us navigate new challenges while plotting a course for the future.”

Prior to her tenure at Reingold, where she oversaw the development and execution of high-impact strategic campaigns in industries spanning health care, transportation, defense and commerce, Dye served as a spokesperson for the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA). While there, she was integral in advancing successful press relations and community outreach engagements during times of intense controversy. Prior to WMATA, Dye led marketing and communications activities on behalf of the nation’s airports at Airports Council International-North America (ACI-NA). Her experience with crisis communications and the integration of digital marketing, traditional media, graphic design and stakeholder outreach make her an incredibly valuable addition to Seven Letter.

Charles has served as a Senior Technology Recruiter at Accenture from 2014 to 2018, oversaw operations of the state-wide field program at the Iowa Democratic Party’s Coordinated Campaign in 2018 and was a Seven Letter Fellow in 2019.  As Manager of Operations, Charles will lead day-to-day operations for Seven Letter Labs and run office management for Seven Letter.

Bentil brings unique perspectives to Seven Letter as she joins the team from Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance. Prior to her work at Gavi, Bentil served as a communications intern for the National Academy of Medicine and graduated from George Washington University with a degree in international affairs with a concentration in global public health.

“We are excited to welcome Morgan, Madison and Colleen to our team. By adding deep experience in crisis communications, integrated strategic campaigns and creative content development, our new team members bring tremendous talent to the firm that will help position our firm and our clients for success,” said Trevor Francis, founding partner at Seven Letter.

Seven Letter was formed following the merger of Blue Engine Message & Media and JDA Frontline in October 2018. In November 2019, the firm acquired Tessio Labs, a premier digital strategy firm, and launched Seven Letter Labs, a full-service digital communications offering that delivers creative, cost-effective and leading-edge digital strategies for clients.

The Seven Letter team has experience ranging from Capitol Hill to the White House, government agencies to journalism, and from large public relations firms to political campaigns.
