Washington Post Hires Annie Linskey for 2020 Election Coverage

Annie Linskey will be joining the Washington Post as a national political reporter. She is the first of seven additional hires the Post is making to expand its campaign team for the 2020 presidential race. The Post national editor Steven Ginsberg, deputy national editor Lori Montgomery and senior politics editor Peter Wallsten announced her move saying, “She will focus on the Democratic field, covering the campaign from the trail while also reporting on the backgrounds and records of the major contenders.”

Prior to joining the Post, Linskey most recently served as the deputy bureau chief for the Boston Globe’s Washington bureau. While at the Globe, she covered Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign, the Trump administration’s immigration policies and explored Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren’s pre-Senate career including her legal career.

She will start at the Post on December 10th.
