Public officials live and die in the media and sometimes they think they can tame that beast. Take New Jersey Governor Chris Christie’s 2 hour plus press conference last week. Answering all of the questions should have put a lid on it right? Well, not if Jimmy Fallon has his way. In a widely circulated and covered video, Bruce Springsteen and the late night talk show host skewered Christie for the traffic fiasco with a parody of the Jersey rocker’s classic “Born to Run.” In reference to Christie’s marathon damage control presser, Springsteen sings “it was longer than one of my own [Bleep] shows!” By noon on 1/16 the video had more than 1.7 million views on YouTube.
